Widen stance, 1 meter apart. Keep feet pointed forward.

 

·
     
Spread both arms sideward, shoulder level.

 

·
     
Form both hands into fists.

 

·
     
Keeping both arms straight, create big circles.

 

·
     
Do this process 10 times for both directions.

 
Butterfly
 

 

·
     
Sit straight.

 

·
     
Bend legs, both soles touching each other close to the pelvis. Your legs should form the wings of a butterfly.

 

·
     
Hold toes still keeping back straight.

 

·
     
Roll pelvis forward.

 

·
     
Move knees in an upward and downward direction. Doing so, your knees should get in contact with your arms when moving upward.

 

·
     
Continue process for 20 counts.

 

·
     
Push knees downward.

 

·
     
Slowly bend forward to your feet. Keep back straight.

 

·
     
Try to touch your feet or the floor with your head.

 

·
     
Repeat process 10 times.  

 
Back Twists
 

 

·
     
Sit straight.

 

·
     
Extend right leg forward, left leg bent and crossed over the extended leg.

 

·
     
Put your left palm on the ground. Twist your body to the left as far out as you possibly can.

 

·
     
Stay in this position for 10 counts.

 

·
     
Repeat process for your right side.

 

·
     
Repeat process 10 times. 

 
Seated Forward Bends
 

 

·
     
Sit straight.

 

·
     
Extend both legs forward. Keep them pressed together, knees straight.

 

·
     
Breathe in.

 

·
     
Breathe out as you slowly bend forward.

 

·
     
Place both hands on each side of your legs.

 

·
     
Breathe out, slowly straightening up.

 

·
     
Always keep back straight.

 

·
     
Repeat the process 10 times.

 
Yoga Poses and Positions for Beginners

ith yoga, you might be amazed by the range of positions the human body can actually do. This form of exercise and meditation enables a person to reach a high level of strength and balance, which also explains for the flexibility.

Mountain Pose
 

 

 

 

Mountain Pose, also referred to as Tadasana, the foundation of all yoga poses and the most basic standing position.

Instruction:

Stand tall, keeping both feet together. Relax shoulders, evenly distributing weight through the sides, soles and arms.

 

·
     
Inhale deeply. Slowly raise hands overhead, with arms straight and one palm facing the other. Reach towards the sky.

 
Downward Dog
