Santa Reina Bids Farewell to Genevive Labs

SANTA REINA, CALIFORNIA.

—Genevive Labs officially closed its doors today, thus ending a three year relationship with the town of Santa Reina. The recent tragedy at its main lab that took the lives of CEO Robert Gartner, Executive Vice President Brad Palmier, and members of Genevive security team proved to be too much for the firm to overcome.

Genevive Labs is now part of ATP, Incorporated with headquarters in Blacksburg, Virginia. Santa Reina will miss the citizens who have elected to relocate to Virginia. For those interested there will be a farewell party at the Elks Lodge on Saturday evening. Doors open at 7:00
p.m.

The Marriott Corporation, Marriott Resorts, has been awarded the right to purchase the vacant Genevive Labs property. At the same time the federal government has stepped in and gifted the Santa Reina Hot Springs to the Foxworth family, the original owners of the property. The remainder of the land will be returned to Miwok Indian preserve.

Retired Police Chief Matthew Brayden who welcomed Genevive Labs to Santa Reina and played a major role in their success is in intensive care at Santa Reina Memorial Hospital. The man whom we all affectionately refer to as “Sheriff Andy” (Griffith) has been battling prostate cancer for several months. Your best wishes and condolences are welcomed on the Santa Reina PD website.

In a related note, the mysterious disappearance of Detective John Halliday’s has baffled the Santa Reina Police Department. The man originally thought to have perished in the explosion that rocked Genevive Labs has not been accounted for. Forensic teams have found evidence of all other personnel who perished in the explosion.

Detective Halliday’s unsung dedication to the citizens of Santa Reina will not be forgotten. His position at Santa Reina won’t be filled. Long term Santa Reina Detective Leo Bergman is our interim police chief until he hands the reigns over to Detective Rich Gladstone after an undisclosed period of time.
