‘That will be us in fifty years, if I don’t
lose sight of what’s important to me again.’ He picked up my hand and kissed
it.

‘I won’t let you,’ I reassured him, with a smile.
‘I’m as much to blame, I should have said something sooner.’

‘Then let’s draw a line under it and agree to
both make the effort from now on.’

‘Deal,’ I nodded.

After the most delicious meal of chateaubriand
with gratin dauphinoise and wilted spinach, followed by an iced raspberry
parfait with a dark chocolate sauce, Anthony informed me that it was time. I
gulped and knocked back the remains of my champagne, still unsure how I was
feeling. I insisted he wait while I went to the ladies’ powder room to freshen
up and check for spinach in my front teeth. Not the best look when you were
supposed to be making an impression. I gently brushed my ponytail and, despite
having no greenery showing in my mouth, I helped myself to one of the free mini
toothbrush and toothpastes from the wall mounted dispenser and cleaned my mouth
thoroughly. After an application of bronze lipstick, I straightened my
shoulders and blew out a calming breath as I faced myself in the mirror.
You’ve
got this Tracy Hodgins
, I nodded. This was a more confident and attractive
woman than I’d looked at just two weeks before. My new hair colour was soft and
added a tone of radiance to my face, instead of the home dyed, over bleached
and dry look I’d managed to achieve. Even if no one wanted us tonight, I had
Anthony. We had each other. This would just be the icing on an already
delicious cake, assuming that I didn’t bottle it if the chance came up.

‘Stop rapping your clutch on your side, you
look stunning,’ Anthony whispered as we approached the ballroom entrance. It
was guarded by a member of hotel security and had a very attractive young brunette
standing behind a mobile wooden podium, checking off the couple in front of us
on her clipboard. She gave them a wide smile and nodded to the security guard,
who opened the door and let them through. The sound of chatter and laughter
drifted through the gap until it was muffled when he closed the door again. It
put me a little at ease. It was just like going to any party or function,
except instead of being discreet about wanting to hook up with someone,
everyone knew why they were there. ‘Mr. and Mrs. Hodgins,’ Anthony announced as
we reached the lady.

‘Welcome. Please may I see your tickets?’ she
smiled. He handed them over and squeezed my hand tightly as she checked them,
stamped them, then returned both to him. ‘I see this is your first night at one
of our events. You’ll find a complimentary bottle of champagne waiting at the
bar if you give them your stamped tickets. I’m sure you’ll find everyone to be
very welcoming. There’s no need to agree to try every vintage that’s offered,
everyone has very different palates. What suits one, may not suit another, so
please don’t be embarrassed to politely refuse if you prefer to try something
other than what’s offered.’

‘Thank you,’ Anthony nodded as we read between
the lines, or rather “the wines.” At least the organisers lived up to their
promise of discretion.

‘That said, if you’re having trouble finding
something to your taste, please come and let me know. Once all of the guests
are checked in, I’d be happy to offer my services and expertise. I’m rather
partial to an attractive full bodied blonde with a hint of a blush,’ she
winked, looking in my direction. My mouth opened and closed unattractively,
like a goldfish, until Anthony nudged me.

‘We may well do,’ he confirmed. ‘My wife is
keen to try new things, she has rather a sweet tooth.’

‘I can assure you that this is one fruity
little number that is sure not to disappoint. It’s never dry on the tongue.’

‘Thank you,’ Anthony stated, while I just felt
my cheeks colouring up even more. This young brunette was eyeing me up? Offering
us herself for the night? I’d never felt so flattered in my life.

‘Thank you,’ I managed to agree, my eyes
focussed on her full lips, wondering what they’d feel like on my nipples. Damn
it, I was turned on already. I bit my lip as I smiled at her, holding her gaze
as Anthony nudged me towards the door that had been opened for us.

‘Jesus,’ he murmured, letting go of my hand and
palming my backside. ‘We haven’t even made it inside and you’ve already pulled
and I’m stiff as a bloody board.’

‘She’s really attractive. Was she seriously
offering herself to us on a plate?’ I asked as we walked into the packed room,
our eyes roving, trying to take in our surroundings.

‘She was, and not to us. She only had eyes for
you, sweetheart. Does that turn you on?’

‘Yes,’ I whispered, still a little embarrassed
to be admitting that.

‘Good, because it’s sure as hell turning me
on,’ he growled aggressively, squeezing my backside firmly. ‘Let’s get a drink
and we can take our time looking around at our fellow partygoers.’

I nodded and we parked ourselves at the bar,
doing just that. My eyes were on stalks as I took in the various couples and
singles milling around. There was no hint of sleaze at all, everyone was well
dressed and Anthony had been right, no hint of ugly anywhere in sight. I
giggled as I wondered if there was another event happening somewhere else right
now, for the swingers not attractive enough to make the cut for this one. It
brought a whole new connotation to the phrase “bumping uglies.” It was also
true that there was a serious shortage of women here. It was mainly couples and
single men. The few ladies that seemed to be alone, weren’t for long. I blushed
again as I caught the eye of a rather dashing man. He had to be about ten years
older than Anthony and I, but he was really sexy. The silver streaks in his
dark hair and a slight five o’clock shadow just added to the appeal. He was
dressed in a light grey suit, with a dark grey silver looking shirt, no tie,
undone enough at the neck to show some of his broad chest.

‘What do you think?’ Anthony asked. I looked up
at him, surprised to see he was checking out the guy himself. ‘What? You think
I’m not keeping tabs on everyone checking you out? You’re my prize possession,
Tracy. I’m not just going to let anyone come on to you without some say in the
matter. If you like the look of him, we can invite him over, so I can suss him
out. If I don’t trust him, I’ll make it clear we’re not looking for his
company. We need some sort of code word for you, so you can make it clear to me
if you want him to take a hike, or if you want me to invite him to join us for
real.’

‘How about … testosterone?’ I suggested.

‘Testosterone? How the bloody hell are you
going to casually drop that into conversation?’ he laughed.

‘O, right. Hmmm, probably not the best choice.
I can just feel a lot of it filling the room.’

‘There’ll probably be a load of semen filling
most of the people in this room too, doesn’t mean it’s a great code word.’

‘Well, this is all new to me. I’m hardly
experienced at swinging or code words, thank you very much,’ I huffed. ‘I
wouldn’t have picked semen though. Give me some credit.’

‘Why not stick with the cover story of wine,
that won’t seem out of the ordinary to slip into conversation. Pick one that
you love to signal you’re happy to take it further, one you hate to let me know
you’re not feeling it?’

‘Ok,’ I nodded. That made way more sense. ‘Let’s
go for Château Lafite Rothschild Grand Crus for a thumbs up and … Asti for a
thumbs down.’

‘Thumbs up,’ he chuckled. ‘Nice play on words.
Hoping to get some thumbs up you?’

‘You know what I meant,’ I laughed, slapping
his bicep.

‘If you think I earn enough to order you a
glass of Château Lafite, let alone a bottle, you can think again. But
seriously, I don’t want you to feel pressured into something you don’t want to
do, Tracy.’ His face turned to one of seriousness in an instant. My heart
swelled at the thought that he really wasn’t doing this to just whore me out,
or get his rocks off. He really cared about my feelings on the matter too, which
made it all the more acceptable to me.

‘We already discussed this. I won’t know unless
we try and my only worry is, if we do go through with it, you’ll get jealous
and it will ruin our relationship.’

‘I think we’ve done a pretty good job of
ruining our relationship on our own. If it wasn’t for this fantasy of mine
coming to light, would we have had the last couple of amazing weeks? I can
handle it, it’s you I’m worried about.’

‘I’m a grown woman, Anthony. If I feel
uncomfortable at any time, I’ll say.’

‘Then memorise those code words, the silver fox
is making his approach.’

‘The silver fox?’ I giggled. ‘I thought I was
the one using code tonight. Have you suddenly joined the SAS without telling
me?’

‘Well, I do have a lethal weapon hidden in my
trousers right now,’ he winked.

‘One I’m going to want to be in the firing line
of tonight, regardless of what happens,’ I reminded him, pursing my lips for a
kiss. He surprised me by grasping my ponytail and pulling it back, his lips
crashing down onto my mouth and kissing me hungrily. He broke away panting
slightly, leaving me quivering with need. He was making sure “the silver fox”
knew who was in charge here tonight. That I was his woman, no matter what. I
liked it.

‘Good evening, I wondered if you were looking
for some company,’ our new companion asked, in a sexily low and raspy tone. I
felt my eyelids involuntarily flutter as I looked up at him from my perched
position on the bar stool. He was better looking close up, and a little younger
than I’d initially assessed. What I hadn’t got wrong was a broad and toned
body. Not even an expensive tailored suit like he was wearing could disguise
that.

‘Honestly, we’re not sure yet. It’s our first
time, but if that doesn’t discourage you, then please join us for a drink and
we can see how the night plays out?’ Anthony offered, stretching out his hand.
‘I’m Anthony and this is Tracy.’

‘I’d like that, very much, thank you,’ he
replied, taking Anthony’s hand in his and shaking it firmly. ‘I’m Paul. It’s
not my first time, but I remember the reservations and nerves of my first
event.’ They broke their handshake and Paul turned to face me, capturing the
fingers of my free hand in his and raising them to his lips to kiss. ‘Delighted
to make your acquaintance, Tracy,’ he murmured.

‘You too,’ I smiled, feeling a wave of heat
building between my thighs.

‘What can I get you to drink?’ Anthony asked.

‘I’d love a glass of Jack Daniels, thank you.’

‘Tracy?’

‘A glass of Château Lafite,’ I replied without
hesitation, wanting Anthony to be clear that I approved. I’d cast an eye down
at Paul’s crotch while he was talking to Anthony, pleased to see he had an
impressive semi. At least I hoped it was a semi and not a full on hard-on, or I
might be disappointed when it was finally unveiled. He also had long fingers,
without any calluses and a nice set of teeth. No one wanted rotten gnashers
chewing on their privates and I already knew that I was more than happy with
this potential suitor. He even smelled really good too, a hint of subtle spice
in his aftershave, which wasn’t too overpowering.

‘A lady with expensive tastes,’ Paul observed
with a smile.

‘She is, but they don’t sell a wine like that
by the glass. Besides, I just remembered we still have a bottle of champagne to
finish. Is that ok, sweetheart?’ he asked. I was tempted to reply no, to see if
he’d actually buy me some. I saw a warning look in his eye as I hesitated. At
over £1,000 a bottle, easily, he’d be pissed.

‘Champagne is fine for now, thank you,
darling,’ I smiled sweetly. ‘Though the Lafite is very appealing.’

‘Tracy doesn’t handle her alcohol well, so I
doubt she’ll be able to even finish the champagne,’ Anthony observed as he
topped up my glass and signalled the bartender down. He ordered two Jack
Daniels with ice.

‘So, may I enquire what brought you to this
event?’ Paul asked.

‘I’ve always harboured a fantasy for a ménage,
which Tracy is considering going along with,’ Anthony replied.

‘That’s what brought me to the scene initially.
I’m strictly interested in the female in such a scenario though. I hope that’s
not a problem for you if you do want to take this further?’

‘Not at all, it’s all about watching Tracy
enjoy herself for me. I’m not interested in …
relations
with a man. I’ve
harboured this fantasy for some time, but Tracy’s only just become aware of it,
hence the hesitation when you asked to join us. I won’t allow anything to happen
unless she’s comfortable proceeding.’

‘Understood. I can respect that,’ Paul
confirmed, thanking Anthony as he passed him his whisky. ‘So, Tracy, you seem
quite open minded about trying new situations. My wife took quite some
persuasion.’

‘I’ll admit I do feel some nerves, but yes, I’m
open minded. The idea of Anthony getting pleasure from watching me receiving
it, is quite tempting.’ I surprised myself with my honesty with a total
stranger. ‘You haven’t brought your wife with you tonight?’ Crikey, the thought
of trying one person, other than Anthony, had me spiralling out of control, let
alone a man and woman working on me at once.

‘No,’ he coughed, suddenly looking embarrassed.
‘My preference was for a FMF, female-male-female scenario, but I made the
mistake of sticking with the same female for our liaisons. It turns out my wife
liked pussy more than cock and left me for our lover a few years ago.’

‘O God,’ I exclaimed, not quite sure what else
to say, while Anthony grimaced in the background.

‘I can assure you, I don’t lack in technique,
we had a very fulfilling and active sex life until we decided to broaden our
horizons. But I’d suggest you don’t make the same mistake I did if you take
this forward. Don’t stick to one person or couple, spread your wings and have
fun. After all, that’s what we’re all here for, isn’t it?’ He took a swig of
his drink, then licked a stray droplet off his lower lip as he held my gaze.
