Chayton agreed.

“What about Camille?”

Camille was Preston’s sister and the island’s only Mistress.

The tall woman’s voluptuous, feminine figure was matched by her strength.

Long dark hair set off her cat shaped eyes and full lips, making her appear almost cruelly beautiful…and she was cruel.

Camille was an expert at drawing in the men.

While the other Masters brought back three to five women, Camille would bring back a dozen virile males.

After a few weeks of training she would decide which slaves she would keep.

At the on-island auction at the end of the summer, Camille would trade the rest of her males for the female servants she needed.

Few of her acquisitions were condemned to the off-shore auction in November.

“Camille is going to Argentina and Norway.

She thinks she’ll be gone about three weeks,” Preston informed them.

The rest of the evening was spent on routine island issues.

“Ayden, find Helo and have him prepare Isabelle for her return to Constantine’s estate.”

Chayton waited for the door to close behind him.

The visiting Masters were well aware of Chayton’s affection for the young man and tried not to upset him and risk the Indian’s anger.

When Ayden had left the room Preston inquired, “Do any of the Florida girls look suitable?”

“Not particularly.

Of course, I haven’t seen them in person yet, but it looks like one or two ponies and some pleasure slaves.

One of them looks like off-island auction merchandise.

I’ll decide after I acquire them,” Chayton replied dispassionately.

Preston risked the old argument, “Perhaps if you sent Ayden with me while you’re gone?

It might be because you’re too close to him.”

The thought of Ayden at the receiving end of Preston’s whip was intolerable.

“No, I won’t do that to him,” Chayton answered quickly.

He knew his friend was trying to help.

Ayden’s induction training revealed Ayden could not deal with the mildest pain and slipped into shock, barely responding.

The last time Chayton had tried a light flogging, he had shut down for two days and nothing Chayton did would arouse him.

Chayton considered the irony that as a sadist, he should care so deeply for a lover who could not share his passion.

Chayton’s decision to find a woman to take Ayden’s place satisfying his sadistic needs was the only answer.

Ayden would continue to fulfill Chayton’s bi-sexual desires, and a woman would add an interesting element to their sexual unions.

Of course, Ayden could not use her pussy.

Chayton had patiently trained him to cock, and would not allow Ayden to be reminded of the feeling of a woman’s warm hole.

The Indian felt his groin tighten thinking of the arousing training before him, and it renewed his anger at Isabelle’s incompetent manipulations.

“I’ll keep an eye out in Sweden,” Preston offered.

“You didn’t want a blonde though, did you?”

“Maybe one of my Italian girls would interest you.”

Constantine was perturbed that Preston beat him to an offer.

He still owed Chayton a favor for taking Isabelle off his hands, even if he did have to return her.

Chayton agreed with Constantine.

“Brunette would be better.

I don’t need anything around as a reminder to Ayden about that stupid blonde fiancé he had in Seattle.”

The subject was dropped as Ayden came back into the room.

CHAPTER I.

LAS VEGAS

“You bitch!

Sandi, get out of my way.

This isn’t your fight,” the drunk woman slurred.

She tripped and grabbed the back of a chair, determined to get past the tall young woman keeping her from Danielle.

“Danni, go back to the table,” Sandi ordered.

Danielle hurried to sit down with her friends.

Lindsey tried to calm her as Becka and Paige rose from the table, rolled their eyes and walked towards the argument.

Sandi continued to sidestep, blocking the intoxicated woman’s attempts to get to the target of her rage.

With her usual flair, Sandi said, “You drunk whore.

If you showed up in your own bed once in a while, your old man wouldn’t have gone near her.”

The smoky neighborhood bar was filled with the leftovers from their extended Happy Hour and the beginnings of the evening crowd.

Naturally, there were always the regulars like Marlene, lives as blurred as her thinking was right now.

Several of the customers looked up, anticipating a good catfight.

“Billy did not chase her,” Marlene screamed.

“She was out mowing the lawn with those fake boobs shaking in that band-aid she calls a bathing suit.”

She tried to push her way past Sandi only to have Becka and Paige stop her.

“Marlene,” Becka said calmly, taking the woman’s arm in a tight grip to steer her away from their table, “you gotta’ stop blaming everyone else.

Billy’s a player.

You know that.

As I recall, you picked him up while he was dating Tyra.”

Marlene’s glassy eyes looked up angrily.

“Oh sure,” she sneered.

“Of course you’re going to stick up for Danni, same as in high school.”

“Marlene, Billy’s a piece of shit, same as in high school.

Don’t blame Danni.

She didn’t walk over to your yard with the beer,” Paige reminded her.

The three women turned abruptly when Sandi began laughing.

“Hey, Marlene, your boyfriend’s on his way in.”

Danni and Lindsey stood up to watch a very intoxicated Billy walk in the door, with an equally intoxicated Tyra hanging all over him.

They had their arms around each other and were engaged in some private joke.

Marlene flew towards the door, Danni forgotten.

The bouncer grabbed her in mid-tackle and ushered all three drunks outside.

The three girls walked back to their table.

“Danni, damn it man.

Billy
?” Sandi joked.

Danni studied her hands, “I was just cutting the grass.

It was hotter than hell and Billy offered me a beer.

That’s all that happened.

I’m not interested in that creep.”

“You ladies playing or what?”

After watching Marlene’s disruptive display, the captain of the ‘Fau Kings’ was standing at the pool table with a smile on his face.

His five man team was counting on a sweep against the girls, and he figured the commotion would distract them from their game.

Becka glanced at the score sheet and announced, “Paige and Brad on table one and Lindsey and Tom on table two.

We break, guys.”

Becka had been captain of ‘Nicely Racked’ for the five years the girls had been shooting together.

They were the only all girl team in the league, and ‘Swindler’s’, their home bar, loved being their sponsor.

When the pretty, feisty girls were playing a home game, it was guaranteed to be a busy night.

Paige and Lindsey got up to shake hands with their opponents.

“Thanks, Sandi.”

Danni stared down at her rum and coke, embarrassed to once again be the focus of a problem involving men.

Sandi looked at her despondent teammate and slapped her hands on the table as she got up.

“Okay, we need shots.”

The thin girl elbowed her way to the bar.

“Take it easy on me, Paige,” Brad grinned.

He racked the balls, watching her short brown hair sweep the top of her shoulders as she chalked her pink break cue, and remembered when they had briefly dated in high school.

A one-night stand with Franny resulted in Brad Junior, but it did not keep him from sometimes wishing he were single.

“I’m not an easy girl, Brad,” Paige reminded him.

It still pissed her off that he had cheated on her with the high school pump whore.

“ Play well.”

She never gave him a chance to shoot, as she broke and ran the table, setting the pace for the night.

The men’s confident mood dissolved as one by one, the women kept winning.

In the end, ‘Nicely Racked’ took four of the six round points off the number two team.

It was the last night of play and it pushed ‘Fau Kings’ into fourth place.

“Shit.

There was a three hundred dollar bonus for placing third,” Brad complained, shaking Becka’s hand.

“You’re the one’s who say you’re so ‘Fau King’ good.

You should have offered to split it and we could have thrown the third round,” Becka smiled.

The girls sat back at their table congratulating one another.

“Paige, you kicked some serious ass tonight,” Sandi complimented.

“You got the fifty,” Paige replied.

“That’s an extra five bucks for a perfect score.”

“Yes, and another five for your break and run against Brad,” Sandi reminded her.

“Well, we need every dime for Vegas,” Becka chimed in.

“Whose turn is it to buy?”

“Mine, I think.”

Lindsey headed to the bar.

Her long brown braid swished across her bottom as she walked, and she paid no attention to the interested looks and catcalls from some bikers.

The girls glanced at her, making sure she was all right.

Lindsey had a calm disposition and was the smallest of the girls at five three.

The rest of the girls on the team were tall, and they had looked out for her since school.

Lindsey’s green eyes smiled back at them, assuring them she was fine.

Lindsey spent three years confined to the house, taking care of her mother after a stroke had left her paralyzed and bedridden.

Paige and Becka lived in the other half of the duplex, and Sandi moved in with Lindsey after her mother’s funeral last fall.

Her teammates helped get her back in circulation, and she had even accepted a few dates.

Lindsey thought the men were boring and predictable, as every date seemed to include dinner, drinks…more drinks, and ungratifying sex.

Danielle’s house had less than a month left on the lease she had signed with her husband before their divorce.

She had helped him build a successful stucco business over their two year marriage, but when Danni caught him cheating with the secretary, she allowed herself to be bought out of the company with a new set of D-cup breasts.

This had been her second marriage.

The first had lasted six months, and just three weeks ago another loser proposed to her.

The team quickly intervened and ran the bastard off when Becka discovered he was still married.

Danielle’s pretty blue eyes surrounded by bouncing blonde curls made her look as vulnerable as she was.

Lindsey returned to the table with the drinks to discover the girls were playing the ‘What we have in common game,’ and the list was up to thirty-one items.

They had all graduated the same year from the same school.

They had each been the youngest or only child, making them officially the last child.

Their parents had all kicked them out, moved into an adult only community, or sadly, in Lindsey’s case, died, leaving them with no parents interested in taking care of them further.

None of them went to college.

Of course, they were all on the pool team.

Currently, and hopefully temporarily, they added, none were dating.

They all had dead end, boring jobs.

“Everything’s set and Carl has agreed to pay-out Friday from the league so we’ll have the money in time for Vegas.

Danni, why don’t you spend the night Sunday?

We can head out to the airport from there in the morning,” Becka decided.

A few rounds later, Becka tossed her wavy red hair behind her broad shoulders and announced, “We’re starting a new list about what we‘ll have in common after Vegas.

I’ll start, with us all winning the jackpot at slots.”

Lindsey joined in with, “Becka and I go the whole week without watching the sun come up on the strip from the Blackjack table.”

The two girls still laughed about that night, and the way Becka noticed dawn lighting the front windows of the casino and informed the cocktail waitress she was switching from her all night binge of screwdrivers to coffee.

Paige’s eyes flashed, her competitive nature showing as usual.

“We place at least third in the women’s division.”

“We finally see a decent show,” Sandi complained.

“And I don’t get stuck with the first night on the couch,” she added.

“We all meet handsome men to take us away from all this,” Danielle wished dreamily.

Ironically, hers was the only wish that would come true, though not at all as she had planned.

Sandi and Danielle quit their jobs to go to the annual tournament because their bosses refused give them the week off.

Lindsey was working at a temp agency, so it was not a problem.

Paige and Becka sold things over the Internet and wrapped up their business before they left.

Monday finally came and the girls climbed into their most reliable vehicle, Danni’s seven year old mini-van, and they headed to the airport.

After unloading the luggage, Danni parked behind a nearby mall to avoid long term parking fees and took the bus back to the airport.

The girls passed through security and began the ten hour trip, changing planes in Atlanta and Dallas.

They left Sarasota at eight o’clock in the morning, beginning their vacation by ordering Bloody Marys when the beverage cart rolled down the isle.

At six bucks apiece, they only had one.

Their last flight came in low over the clustered subdivisions sequestered in valleys between tan butte ranges, now highlighted with the golds and reds of the afternoon sun.

The turquoise water of the rivers snaked through the rocky canyons with an occasional white wave from a boat or jet ski.

In the past, the planes the team took all approached from the north where it was not a far jump to believe nuclear testing had occurred decades ago.

The land looked beautiful, yet scarred and barren.

From the south approach, the passengers could see a huge crater and part of the Grand Canyon.

After passing over the subdivisions, the tall casinos could be seen through the left windows, causing an audible gasp of anticipated riches from some of the passengers.

Sandi was still complaining about the hassle they had at the airport when they changed planes in Atlanta where the team had a two hour layover.

There were three smokers in their group, so they all went outside the terminal to relax.

Unfortunately, that meant going back through security where Sandi’s oversized expensive lotion was going to be confiscated.

Becka stalled the whole line, running back to a newsstand where she paid an exorbitant amount for three travel size plastic bottles that now contained Sandi’s prized possession.

The five women glared at the overweight security woman as they triumphantly marched towards their plane.

“I know that bitch was going to take it,” Sandi muttered.

“I wonder how much of the shit she confiscates makes it to the security office or trash and how much ends up in her purse?”

The plane landed in Las Vegas with the usual stomach-dropping lurch right before the tires bounced off the runway twice before grabbing.

Lindsey could not help her reaction to the white knuckle experience, as she gripped the arms of the seat and pushed an imaginary brake on the floor with her foot.

Danielle laughed and patted Lindsey’s tight fisted hand.

“You’ve been out here four times and you always land us safely, sweetie.”

Lindsey had missed the tournament last year because of her mom, and Bethany had gone in her place as the team’s substitute.

Beth headed to college in Georgia when they got back to Florida.

None of the team had seen her since and even the e-mails stopped months ago.

The girls collected their luggage, and a short cab ride later delivered the excited young women to the casino.

The generic deluxe room they reserved had two double beds, and instead of paying extra for a roll away cot, they decided to take turns with each of them spending one night of their five night stay sleeping on the small sofa.

None of them had a lot of money, and the trip to Vegas already meant stretching bills at home, so they cut corners whenever they could.

Becka and Paige went over to collect key cards for the room while Lindsey, Sandi and Danielle stood by the elevator watching the luggage.

The woman at the reservation desk never said a word when Becka asked for five keys for the four adult room reservation.

She knew how the pool teams worked.

The girls were distracted by the sounds and commotion on the main floor of the casino, and none of them noticed the large black man handing the woman a hundred dollar chip for a sixth card to their room.
