My friends who were the inspiration for my characters, thanks for being such great dorks. When I thought of you all as characters, the book just wrote itself. Perhaps I'm just that much of a controlling egomaniac. Laura and Ryan Riviere, Jason McNees, Amy Cauble, Bambi Maxwell, Tony Bush, Charles Salley, John Jones, Patricia Early, Orlando Calvalcanti, Christine Seelye-King and Sir Martin Brofman for inspiring me.

Every character has a theme song, at least in my head, so I want to thank Justin Taylor, Colin Hay, Kirsty MacColl, Eddie Vedder, Abney Park and Coldplay for letting me borrow their poetry to write my own.

A special note of thanks goes out to my friend P.R. who literally came back from the dead to cheer me on through the re-writes.  I love you and missed you every day you were gone. I am glad I could share this book with you.
